
Destek Patent hosted a meeting with company representatives from Japanese Intellectual Property Organization on 18 November 2014 to assess the present patent system and enforcement issues in Turkey. Many topics from patent prior use to employee inventions were discussed in all aspects.
Japan Intellectual Property Association, established in 1938, is the largest IPR industry organization in the world, with more than 1.100 Japanese companies and having 20 work groups to examine all IPR practices in the world. Japanese delegates attached great importance to patent protection, among others, for upcoming investments by also underlining Turkey's recent rise and commercial potential.
