Why is a trademark registration important?
If you suspect that your trademark is being copied, you should immediately apply for a registration with TURKPATENT. Other companies may file an application for your trademark to be registered before you could act. This would mean that you would have to spend time and money to maintain your rights If your trademark meets the registration criteria, it will be registered and protected for ten years. You can apply for a trademark renewal every ten years. This means that you can extend the protection period as long as you want.
