The Limits of the KOSGEB Funds (Small and Medium Industry Development Organization) will be Increased

Fikri Işık, the Minister of Science, Industry and Technology, stated that the upper limit for the General Support Program of Small and Medium Enterprises Development Organization of Turkey (KOSGEB) would be increased by 74 percent from 270.000 liras to 470.000 liras.

Işık made an explanation regarding the decisions taken at the KOSGEB Executive Committee Meeting.

Stating that they discussed the new support models that could be developed for SMEs and entrepreneurs at the meeting, Işık pointed out the decision of revising the General Support Program, and increasing the upper limit for all the program components. Işık stated that the upper limit for the General Support Program would be increased by 74 percent from 270.000 liras to 470.000 liras.

Noting that the net area for the stands used in the previous fair will be increased from 40 percent to 50 percent maximum within the scope of domestic fair support, Işık said that the fairs that would be organized for the first time would also be included in the support so that maximum 25 percent of the net stand area declared by the organization would be supported.

Işık indicated that with the changes in General Support Program, the way for the graduates of two-year vocational high schools would be cleared to benefit from the employment support for qualified personnel.

Stating that the efforts to support the services to be received from SME consultants continue within the scope of consultancy support, Işık highlighted that the revised upper limits would be valid once the Code of Practice for the General Support Program was carried into effect.

Within the scope of the General Support Program, the upper limits will be increased; from 30.000 liras to 45.000 liras for the domestic fair support; from 10.000 liras to 20.000 liras for business trip and education abroad support; from 15.000 liras to 25.000 liras for promotion support; from 15.000 liras to 30.000 liras for twinning support; from 20.000 liras to 50.000 liras for qualified personnel employment support; from 15.000 liras to 22.500 liras for consultancy and design support; and from 50.000 liras to 75.000 liras for energy efficiency support.

The upper limits will be increased; from 20.000 liras to 30.000 liras for Intellectual property rights support; from 10.000 liras to 30.000 liras for licensing support; from 20.000 liras to 30.000 liras for testing, analysis, and calibration support; from 10.000 liras to 15.000 liras for voluntary expert support; and from 20.000 liras to 40.000 liras for logistic support.
