Google is Developing a Needle-Free Blood Draw Technology

Google continues its work in the field of health, not on a smart bracelet or watch, but this time on a real medical product. The technology giant aims to collect blood from patients with an easier and painless procedure with the patented device, without the need for an injection.

The device, which punctures the skin with a gas-powered microparticle, draws a small sample of blood into its chamber by applying negative pressure. The blood collection device, which is planned to work in harmony with another wrist-worn device, will thus provide patients and doctors with faster and simpler test results. However, since the amount of blood obtained in this way can only be considered as a "sample", it is difficult to say that it will replace drawing blood with a syringe.

The device in question will rather provide a solution for quickly collecting blood samples. For example, diabetics who want to measure their blood sugar level will be able to do this on their own through this device.
