HAVELSAN is Wrapping up its Working Processes for an Unmanned Ground Vehicle and Getting Ready to Conclude them

Working hard to contribute much and meet the requirements of the Turkish Armed Forces (TAF), HAVELSAN has been working on an unmanned ground vehicle for a while and getting ready to conclude its works. Through the algorithm the company is working on, the it is getting ready to make unmanned land, air, underwater and above vehicles communicate with each other and get them cooperate.

The Directorate General of the HAVELSAN for Training and Simulation Technologies has been carrying out a variety of efforts on autonomous systems since 2018. In this framework, the company conducts R&D operations in the fields of Bulk Robotic Flying Systems along with Autonomous Ground Systems.

As a result of these efforts, a ground vehicle prototype was designed; as the prototype continues to take tests of driving and land trials, it has been developed as a determined, brave, and environmentally friendly and suitable unit considering a variety of aspects such as autonomous vehicle control system, battery monitoring, surrounding sensors including LIDAR and RADAR, etc, data fusion unit, AI module, health state monitoring system, footage and surveillance systems, remote control systems.

The HAVELSAN's unmanned ground vehicle is 150 kilograms in length, 100 meters in width, 60 centimeters in height, and 350 kilograms in weight. The motor vehicle, which can run at a speed of 7 kilometers per hour, operates with an operation time of more than 2 hours.
