A Special Award for High School Students with Entrepreneurial Spirit

The Turkey finale of the "GençBizz Company Program" organized for high school students by Junior Achievement Turkey was held on 25 and 26 May in Istanbul.

In this program where high school students launched small-scale companies with zero capital and manufacture real products and services and sell them within school boundaries, around 500 startups were established. From the 35 finalists of the enterprises of high school students, the Entella GençBizz Company with their "Filter that collects waste at the sea surface" project ranked first, and the "Destek Patent Special Award" was given to this company by the Director of Support Units Faruk Yamankaradeniz as a part of the "Protect your Idea" social responsibility project.

Established by METU Development Foundation Private High School, GençBizz Company named Tensopathy ranked second with their "medical product that prevents neuropathy in cancer patients" project, and the GençBizz company named Pio The Company established by the students of Izmir Atatürk High School ranked third with their "portable device that cleans headphones and hearing aids".

HIGH SCHOOL ENTREPRENEURS BECOME EUROPEAN CHAMPIONS

The Turkey champions of this year's GençBizz Company Program we support as a sponsor, Entella GençBizz Company, has ranked first in the JA Europe Company of Year Competition held in France. The young entrepreneurs who did our country proud by winning first place with their filter project that collects waste at the sea surface also won the FedEx Access Award, which is rewarded to initiatives that are sustainable and have the potential to create new opportunities by bringing countries together.
