Turkey Re-entered The Top 50 Leagues With A 10-digit Leap In The Global Innovation Index

The annual performance of 132 economies was evaluated in the 14th edition of the Global Innovation Index report. According to the report, Turkey had the 4th highest innovation performance in the “Upper-Middle Income Economies” category. Turkey, which ranked 4th after China, Bulgaria and Malaysia in this category, ranked 41st among 132 countries in the GII, the country's highest ranking to date.

New Smart Glasses From Xiaomi

Chinese tech giant Xiaomi is aiming to provide the best experience to date with its smart glasses, which is in the concept stage. The glasses, in which MicroLED technology is used, and this technology is combined with the optical wave imaging technology, weigh only 51 grams. The glasses, which can take photos and translate texts in real time, are integrated with the assistant named XiaoAI. In addition, there is no need for a smartphone to make calls and answer an incoming call thanks to the dual microphone and speaker these glasses have.

Oracle Sues NEC

Oracle has filed a lawsuit against the Japanese information technology company NEC for alleged copyright infringement. Oracle, which has licensed the software to NEC since 2004 and stated that there were numerous incompatibilities with NEC's licenses in 2019, claimed that NEC distributed the software in a way that exceeded its rights, paid a lower license fee than it should have and changed the software without permission. It was also noted that the NEC uses the software in question in integra- ID 5, a biometric identification system that provides law enforcement agencies with fingerprint, face, voice and other matching capabilities.
